AR400 High Wear Resistance Steel Plate.AR400F is an abrasion resistant specialty plate product specifically designed for service applications that require both wear resistance and impact toughness. AR400F plate is designed with a through thickness Brinell hardness range of 360-444 and a nominal hardness of 400BHN. AR400F plate is used in equipment subject to abrasive wear. Applications for AR400F include truck beds, crushers, hoppers, buckets, chutes, bulldozers, conveyor troughs, bulldozers, concrete mixer drums and excavators. AR400 Steel is a quenched and tempered, abrasion resistant steel. The quenching and tempering combined with the addition of carbon and manganese increase the hardness of the steel, creating an impact-resistant surface well suited in handling abrasive materials such as gravel, cement, coals, earth and ore.
